  1. I'm in the same boat. Listening to TH on the radio but I have the TV on in case the video feed comes back. Where's the problem? With Midco or our local provider? Pain in the rear!

Doing the same thing much rather listen to Tim than Hammer, heck I'd rather listen to Sweeney than Hammer. Like Iceberg explained I believe it is on Midco and not are local providers.

  2. NOTRE DAME...on national TV tonight

    MAINE......on national TV tonight

    MINNESOTA......on national TV tonight

    UND..........nothing

Unacceptable for a program of this caliber but i guess we need to get used to it going into the NCHC agreements

Hope it doesnt cost them in recruits in the future.

St.Cloud is on FCS tonight as well.

  3. Really excited to see Grimaldi with Knight and Kristo. I think that line will connect and stick together and that is a line that could be the top one in the nation. Also want to see how the future Sioux Thompson plays for the U.S. team and hope the Sioux look a little more sharp tonight.

    Sioux 6-1

  4. I would start the year with this lineup

    Kristo-Knight-Grimaldi

    MA.MacMillan-Rowney-Parks

    Cagilua-Rodwell-O’Donnell

    Gaarder-Pattyn-Chyzk

    Senkbeil-St.Clair-Sanderson-MI.MacMillan

    Schmaltz-MacWilliam

    Forbort-Mattson

    Simpson-Gleason

    Panzerella

    Gothberg

    Saunders

    Maris

  5. Reading his comments it really seems like he was at least somewhat worried about playing time and felt it was best to move on and that his stock probably wasn't gonna rise much, especially with the playing time concern.

  6. 27 year old with no coaching experience...wonder who else applied?

Former Husky Garrett Raboin has been named Assistant Coach at SCSU

    Interesting hire...

I don't know who else applied but I'm sure the former player thing helped him a lot in getting the job. I believe he played high school hockey at Detroit Lakes and always seemed like a very hard worker and good kid. Although he doesn't have much experience I think it will be a good hire for SCSU and he will be able to relate to the players very well, probably will help that he played with the program and will take a lot of pride in that program.

  7. On another note anyone else hear that Kevin Roy is possibly decommitting from Brown to go to the CHL?

Not sure if he will be headed to the CHL or not but saw this on twitter, also heard he may be looking for a package deal with his brother.

    Schlossman@SchlossmanGF

Many expected this for months. RT @MattyMo26: Kevin Roy won't be honoring his commitment to Brown. Let the sweepstakes begin.

  8. Looks like he has recruiting visitis lined up for Michigan, Miami and Notre Dame and Minnesota is after him pretty hard as well. I would guess he ends up at Minnesota but it looks like a nice recruiting battle heating up just not sure if we are in on it or not.

I would guess we are after him just based on what I have seen from him and his high skill level and the way he plays, but I have no inside information at all to base this on and really just hope that we are after him and can get him.

  9. Took the tour of the Betty and Ralph this past spring saw the press box, locker rooms, training rooms, weight room, and everything else we wanted too see, although it was kind of weird as they were setting up for the circus. There were some former players working out in the weight room at the time and we just stopped in quick and check out things, also saw they were redoing the cold/hot tubs in the Sioux locker room and that is when I learned the team moves out of the main locker room after every season and doesn't get to move back in until they have officially made the roster for the next year at least according to the tour guide.

  10. The Minnesota Wild just a few short years ago under Doug Risebrough, didn't have many college hockey players now have a good mix on their roster, add to the Badgers and ex-Sioux players that I have already mentioned, you have Jason Zucker Denver University, Nate Prosser and Chad Rau Colorado College, Stephen Kampfer Michigan, Jarold Palmer Miami University (Ohio), Torrey Mitchell Vermont, and Matt Cullen Saint Cloud State University.

Could add Charlie Coyle to that list too he was at BU before bolting mid season last year.

  11. I was just looking at the Wild prospect camp roster and Genoway is not on it. Wondering if that means he was not invited or if they told him he would just be staying in Houston.

I would guess he will start in Houston by looking at the D-men they have returning and now adding Suter and possibly another 1 or 2 top prospects in Brodin and Dumba to the roster.

  12. Looks like a done deal Parise and Suter have definitely made the Wild serious contenders.

    Michael Russo@Russostrib

RT @StarTribune: The #MnWild agrees to terms with Suter, still working on Parise. http://strib.mn/Mx7VAF

    Michael Russo@Russostrib

#mnwild has agreed to terms on Zach Parise to 13-year deal; Now it's official. Maybe they'll announce Winter Classic today for trifecta. ha

    Bob McKenzie@TSNBobMcKenzie

Zach Parise has agreed to terms with MIN.

  13. Quick question for any with knowledge. Is Zach Parise's fiance from Minnesota? Or is she from a state nearby?

I think she is from North Dakota and I thought I heard they met at UND but not exactly sure.

  14. a source has said suter has an dea he wants to go to where parise goes. if that is the case it rules the hawks out.

Maybe a little more on this Brian Lawton tweeted this last night

    Brian Lawton ‏@brianlawton9

Sorry about late night ...... Just back in town. Not sure yet on Parise but word is Ryan Suter will be playing for the MN Wild next season!

Wasn't sure how good of a source he is but it says in his bio. he is a former NHL Player, NHLPACertified Agent, and NHL General Manager working for over 27 years in the National Hockey League

  15. I realize that he is going back to Minnesota because his family is there and he wants to discuss it with them. But the fact that he is coming to Minnesota today and plans on making his announcement of where he is going to sign today makes me very optomistic. Don't think he is going to make an announcement in Minnesota that he is going to play somewhere else. If he gets on a plane to fly out of Minnesota before his announcement, you can pretty much assume that he is signing somewhere else. Here's to hoping that a press conference is scheduled while he is still in Minneapolis!!

Yep thats what I ws getting at, I'm very optimistic that if he is going to sign today and he is going to be Minnesota that it is going to be with the Wild. If he does announce he is signing with someone else in Minnesota he may need a new set of advisers.

  16. Yeah, that was really not my main argument. FYI, he lived in Bloomington.

Yeah it just seems like I've seen a lot of people try to use the not playing high school or college in Minnesota as an argument and I really don't think that means much at all.Oh my bad I thought Parise mostly grew up in Faribault, another obvious reason as to why he went to school there was his father worked with the program which is another reason why I don't put much stock into him not playing high school hockey or leaving the state for college.

People saying the Wild really have no talent need to remember that they had the best record in the league around the all star break and would have definitely been a playoff team without so many injuries.

  17. They reported this yesterday and then his agent came out and said that he was staying in the Toronto area and not flying back to Minnesota. So unless you've heard something new today about him flying back to Minnesota, I don't think this is accurate.

He stayed in Toronto last night and is supposedly flying back to Minnesota today, I had heard he is scheduled to land soon. Anyone else heard the rumor that Babcock is milling around the Twin Cities? wonder if that means anything as it seems like the rumors of him and the Red Wings have been kind of quiet the last couple days.

  18. Then you have probably not followed this too closely. From what I read on NHL.com and ESPN and other Chicago news he was extremely close to signing yesterday around 2pm. However, he had some second thoughts (maybe Minny) and he wanted to sleep on it. I'm guessing something might have happened to push Chicago out but I will still go back and say it's between Chicago and Pitt. I would like him to go Minny but I really do not think he holds any allegience to MN. He skipped out on MN HS hockey which is, to the old timers, a true sin around here and he bounced for UND so I don't think the fact he lives here have anything to do with his decision. I think he is looking at who he wants to play with more....JToews or Sid. To be honest they are both my two favorite players so I could care less which direction he goes (although I am pulling a little towards Chicago). Should find out in a bit I'm guessing.

I think people put way too much stock in him not playing high school hockey, I believe he lived in Faribault and that is where Shattuck is located so its not like he went out of his way to get there. He chose the school that was more competitive and better for his development. With the reports being that Parise is flying back to Minnesota today I just can't see him coming back home to announce he is going somewhere else like Chicago or Pittsburgh.
