So our blowout of NDSU set this program back 3 years basically?

If that played a role in Bubba keeping his job....then yes.  At least 3 years.

The secondary argument is they get a home playoff game and actually win and get a second one. What's the procedure to secure tickets for that one?  Oh wait......nevermind.

Pure gold lol.  Though if getting one......much less two postseason wins in a season is the benchmark for UND athletic teams.........

Yeah, I had to watch a kid on the GF Bantam AA kid who was the laziest kid you ever saw and just took up space on the ice.  There wete 3-4 kids on the two A teams that would have contributed more than him in one weekends play.  Only made the team as his dad is friends with the coach who hand picked the team and will move on and make RR cuz his two older brothers played there the last couple of years.

Grand Forks gets away with it because the overall level of talent is strong.  The truly great kids will always find their spot.  But after that unfortunately there is a tier of kids that have gotten extra ice time and benefits of getting bumped up a team higher than they should be because their dad's were good players 25 years ago.....or because their dad's kiss the butts of those dad's that were good players 25 years ago.

His name and mugshot are literally on the St Paul Pioneer Press website, the top story on the Star Tribune, WCCO, KSTP and KARE11

Local is covering it and including photo of the shooter.  But try googling Burnsville shooter....and look at the stories....USA Today....AP...etc.  The majority of those stories don't include a photo..  or they bury it well down the article.  Bias at its finest.

Just looking for consistency. Either the media blasts these photos of criminals at the risk of glorifying them.  Or let's not publish photos of any of them.

If all this info is out there why isn't it being reported in conservative media? If its available from authorities it should be easy for them to report.

Yeah like what conservative media outlet are you referring to?

Just one example, a minor like Rittenhouse shoots 3 guys in about the most clear case of self defense a court has seen in years......and his photo is blasted everywhere in the press.  Meanwhile.....for some reason the minors in this case are having their identity protected....because they are minors.  Just looking for consistency whichever side that consistency may be.

KC SB parade shooting.....yesterday Burnsville MN cop killings and no one in the mainstream media has any idea who committed these crimes? No pictures, no names, no ethnicity.

Maybe McFooley can try to get George Floyd's opinion on all of this.......

Funny how that works.  And some don't believe the media has a bias with these sorts of stories.

Was there a clown involved? Or a cowboy?

Maybe it was an undersized kid dressed up like a lion that couldn't even walk straight.

Majoring in Communications. No additional comments necessary.

Communications, Hospitality Management, Recreation Sports.....plenty of those degrees paths can be found on any big times college sports rosters.

This was the main risk of bringing him in early.  The fact he was so young and maybe/maybe not the most disciplined student (which the public wouldn't know).  Skill wise I don't think bringing him in early was an issue.  He can play.

According to sources the kid that hit the WF goalie got 5 and 10, and suspended a month from all practices and games.

WF goalie had fractured teeth and busted up helmet, had to leave the game and a skater finished the game.

Good.  Complete bush league from that EGF player.  These are all high end kids that know what they are doing/can control their movements.  100% intentional.

  10. Whether it's hypocritical or not, it's driven into these players what they can and can't do.  They often get paid $1million or more to follow those few extra rules the rest of us don't need to worry about.  It's not that big of an ask.

This might shed some light on the Shane Pinto situation.

Not the first or last professional athlete to be an idiot and jeopardize their careers over gambling.  Sad.

Erbert & Gerbert goes kaperbut.  Sure won't miss that drive thru with the impossible 90 degree exit, but sandwich alternatives to Subway and JJ are always welcome.

Northend Burger King also gonzo. Meh on that one, and there are still a couple other stores in town for your Whopper or chicken fries

That Erbert and Gerbert's was so poorly run.  Whoever owned it clearly didn't give a crap.

  13. The frustrating thing is most fans are fine with a slightly down year if it means a reload of talented youngsters.  That should have been last year though.  Spicer should have come in.  The 5 freshman forwards then should have played every game along with Kunz, Schmaltz and Portz.  Sacrifice 4 years of a US NDTP forward for a 5th year role player and a 5th year that couldn't stay on the ice throughout his career?  Cmon.

It will be curious to see what is really going on behind the scenes.  A former NHL defenseman coach, who has a reputation of knowing what he's doing when it comes to grooming D-men for the NHL, currently has no D on the roster.

Think for a minute, why did Calder played for three teams in three years? Do think maybe just maybe there was a reason he wasn't asked to come back to UND? Why wasn't Budy asked to come back. Maybe he wasn't a good fit. I see a lot of pointing of fingers at the coaching staff, but maybe some of it is players. Why were certain players asked to come back, Hain and Senden. Maybe they were good teammates.

Budy just wasn't very good.  I never understood what coaches saw in him.

So is the bulldog message board a dumpster fire? Fire Sandelin and burn amsoil down? Imagine this forum if und had a first round pick enter the portal after one season lol.

Berry and UND have that covered. Can't lose 1st round picks to portal if you never had them in the first place.

  16. Spicer's not lighting it up for Duluth, but neither are the guys UND kept instead.  This team's biggest mistake will end up being not briningjng in Spicer and just playing the heck out of the freshmen forwards so they'd be in a great spot next year.

The NCHC with an unprecedented move changing the box score.....

Is the B1G looking for more teams? You've got to be phucking kidding me.....

Because UND would get any benefits of the doubt in a league with Michigan and Minnesota.

  18. A season like this is why I really would have liked the team to bring in Spicer maybe a year too soon....rather than trot out the 5th years again (though with one perpetually injured he hasn't really been out there).  Most people were too optimistic about this team from the go and now the best d-men all leave after this season.

    5-4 South

South has a couple quality kids that didn't play last night due to injury or illness.

As much as I like the Grand Forks schools, any chance of high school hockey staying relevant in ND rests with at least a couple of the Fargo schools having competitive teams.
