I would think you are right. Those are glass block. Does anyone else remember this, or did the paint get removed? or even the large windows get removed. I will drive by today.

The window is still there. B29BA81E-F757-454D-B3A7-A8715A0BC9CC.thumb.jpeg.40c09801a8ef68f2173bd788fab4028c.jpeg

Anyone remember this Logo, used to hang on the east wall inside the Field-house.

This picture was taken at the time President John F. Kennedy was here.

Notice Home of UND Sioux, no fighting in the wordage. I've talked this over with many alumni over the years and we don't remember the word Fighting to have been used with Sioux when we went to UND. Was hanging at least into the early to mid 70's.

Pretty large, maybe this was a gift to UND?

It looks like it was painted directly onto the windows on the east side of Hyslop.

After listening to the podcast it is quite obvious everything about the last 4 years was about himself and not the team.  In fact it sounds like everything he has done in his life was about himself.  He must have been a treat to coach..  He is no Quinton.  I don't think that getting his masters is high on his priority list.  He sure wasn't a leader. Loyalty wasn't  a major part of his personality.

Truer words have never been posted.

So for all of us out of towners who couldn't make it to the game, how was all the non game aspects of the day?  Wondering if the things that the gameday committee came up with to improve the game day experience actually worked.  I did hear that they played the Chelsae Dagger song after TD's.  Man, I think that was suggested on this thread years ago!!  Anyway, just wondering how it all went.

Overall, I think the changes are a very good step in the right direction.

The new tailgating setup was an improvement in my opinion.  It felt like Tailgate Village had it's own distinct area compared to the past.  That being said, there were not many people in that area.  The high winds and Thursday night game could have had a big impact on the casual fans attending.  One issue that will need to be addressed is that the students setup just to the west of the Tailgate Village in the single game tailgating section.  As an alum, I love the energy and fun that that students have pre-game, but I don't think the season tailgaters will appreciate it on a weekly basis right next to their spots.

Someone previously mentioned the ropes added to the concession stands to queue people.  This made a big difference since people were not stretched across the concourse and customers were more efficiently served at the stands.

I also like the use to Chelsae Dagger after the TD, but the time between the TD and XP is so short that I wish they would bring it back after the XP for an extended celebration leading into the kickoff.

One negative is the use of music when we are on offense.  Several times, we were at the line ready to snap the ball and music was still blasting through the speakers.

What has Hugo's done to lose Red Pepper and UND?

In the case of UND, I'm guessing they didn't offer a top bid.  Probably figured it would just be business as usual and UND would stick with the local choice.

For me, Hugo's lost it when they decided to sell Bison championship gear in the GF stores this year.  I found this to be an absurd choice for a GF based chain and sent an email complaint.  They never responded.

So, an update on my auction purhase I referenced in a post a few days ago.

I stopped by the Bradley Center yesterday to collect my "Auction Lot," which included the UND jersey.

With respect to the jersey, it is one definitely signed by the 1996-97 team.  Aaron Schweitzer, Dane Litke and Mark Pivetz all signed, and that was the only year they played together at UND.  I did not see any coaches signatures.  All of the signatures are on the front of the jersey, which will make it nice for framing.  There are 22 player signatures, so I assume it was just signed by the players who were listed as eligible to play in that Frozen Four, although that's just a guess on my part.  It's a size 52 Gemini home jersey.  It has the number 9 on it, but no name.  It was also packaged with a souvenir program and souvenir puck from that Frozen Four, which further supports my assumption about the jersey.  I was hoping someone there could shed some light on the background of the jersey, but no.

After I took a look at the jersey, puck and program, I started digging through the large boxes of stuff that I bought without having any idea what was in there.  As my wife and I started pulling things out of the boxes, we couldn't stop from laughing at the crazy assortment.  A brief list of the items I received for my $180 (other than the hockey jersey and Frozen Four stuff) includes:

An authentic Bucks basketball jersey with Taylor Swift's name on the back and autographed by her on the front.

An authentic Bucks basketball jersey with Bon Jovi on the back.  I've yet to find any autograph.

Five Milwaukee Wave soccer jerseys, one signed by what appears to be the entire team.  I'll confess that before yesterday I literally had no idea who the Milwaukee Wave were.

One pair of Nike soccer goalkeeper gloves.

Two brand new canvas Milwaukee Buck carry bags (which came in handy for hauling all my stuff to the car).

Two autographed "Raw is War" t-shirts from the August 16, 1999, Monday Night Raw event.  Each t-shirt probably has twenty autographs on it.  Not a huge wrestling fan, so I'm going to have to do some digging to figure out who signed those shirts.  I can only assume most of those people are dead, being wrestlers.

A crapload of signed glossy pictures, and one signed t-shirt from a bunch of professional figure skaters.

A handful of brand new NCAA basketball t-shirts and sweatshirts (tags all still attached) from the 1999 March Madness first round games played there.  I'll actually be wearing those shirts.

A heavy duty rubber Gene Simmons KISS mask, that candidly, is spectacular.

Honestly, it was hilarious pulling that stuff out of the boxes.

That is an amazing assortment.  Truly a spectacular lot to win!  Crazy that they didn't sort these items a bit better.

Looking at the WWE shirt, I think you have some really good signatures that I can see from the single picture.  It looks like HHH, Kurt Angle, Sgt Slaughter, Teddy Long, Marianna.  Those first three are certainly great signatures.  That might also be a Shawn Michael's autograph to the right of HHH, but it's kind of hard to see.

This link from the event might help you identify some other signatures.

Can NDUS file a countersuit saying this lawsuit is frivolous since UND has already been found to be Title IX compiant?  Seems to me that these athletes just want to hurt UND for dropping the program, knowing they probably won't win.   Some of them shouldn't have had scholarships to begin with, but that is another story.

I would think that NDUS could certainly counter for attorney fees, which could get high if this goes to court.  I'm wondering if non-students even have standing to bring the case and maybe that's why NDUS was targeted.  Seems like this case will be tossed by a judge before it goes very far.
