I believe that all the DI NEWHA women schools from the D2 NE10 will also move their men's teams to DI.  They must have move their men's teams to DI to prevent reverse Title ix suits.

The eight NE10 teams moving up would be

St Anshelm, St Michael, FranklinPierce, SNHU, Post, Stonehill plus Bentley and American International of the AHA.

That league wont offer much scholarships to be a true competitive DI league, but just move up for legal reasons with little more expenses.  But the net result will be an AHA down to 10 teams and one more playoff spot will be taken.

For the same reason UND doesn't need to offer women's hockey, the NE10 schools don't need to offer D1 men's hockey.

2/1 thru 4/18 it reports 28 total COVID only and COVID+pneumonia deaths (confirmed and presumed) for individuals 24 years of age and younger.

Seems you are no longer talking about people 60 years and younger. and now you've shifted from under 45 to under 25. I guess that's what happens when your statistics stop backing up your horrible takes.

It seems we saw a lot of similar posts here that are now featured on an unfortunately sad twitter profile.

Not all heroes wear capes.  Some storm beaches at Normandy on D-Day.  Others limit their time in stores when they have a runny nose.

I’m curious if you ran into any vulnerable adults while in said stores in those “limited” times...

As the resident grammar nerd, I should have reorganized my sentence for you to say " I only returned back to work after three days of no symptoms and limited my time in stores."

Some "heroes" carry guns to defend against the tyranny of staying at home. I guess it all depends on who you side with, but it seems those with confederate flags have yet to be on the right side of history.

You and I have met both his parents. Great people. At least we know they are proud of one of their children that posts on this site.

I too have met mafiaman and donated multiple times to giveaways for the hoggsbreath. Fortunately, I don't equate posts on a message board to the quality of a person. If I had, I'd assume you don't give a !@#$ about anyone over 45, which would wouldn't put you anywhere near a quality person here.

Horribly formatted text from conservative political site

As I mentioned prior, I sometimes forget that the U.S. didn't take this as seriously as the rest of the world in mid/late February. That's not a political thing, it's a failure across the board to recognize the seriousness of coronavirus. In late February, we were worried about the large gatherings in Cologne for Carnival and other large groupings.

On a more serious note, Oktoberfest has been cancelled this year  and all large events are cancelled through August 31st, including the Oberammergau Passion play that is only held every 10 years and includes more than 1,500 city residents in the play.

In the future, please copy/paste the text as plain text into a post instead of as a screenshot.

Also, since Sicatoka is such a stickler for the rules and consistently enforces them across the board, it'd be nice if you linked to the article in question: Also be sure to cite, and link if possible, the original source. Reward other sites for their quality material by sending them traffic (as opposed to stealing and reproducing their content).

Boy, hindsight is now grounds for calling out fellow Sioux fans for...attending a hockey game? In February?

This says far more about you than Siouxperman8, I’m afraid.

Apologies. I sometimes forget that while in late February, the rest of the world was already enacting measures to limit the spread of Coronavirus, the U.S. was still hearing "When you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that's a pretty good job we've done."

In late February, I had a minor cough and runny nose. The second I felt a tiny bit sick, I left work to finish the rest of the day at home. For the next two weeks, I limited my time in stores and only returned back to work after three days of no symptoms. I certainly wasn't alone in those actions either.

Something very similar rolled through 6 of us in my family in late February over 3-4 days.  everyone was wiped out for 36-48 hours.  First sick day for me at work in about 15 years.  My wife and I spent close to $400 for dinner and Wild game and barely made it through the 1st period before heading home.

So during an emerging pandemic you chose to go to a hockey game while sick? I believe others have provided different definitions of the word idiot, but would certainly fit.

You missed the point due to being stuck in an echo-chamber.

If you want to believe it is the new fear porn, then so be it. Just know that our current administration is catering to it. Our president just utilized the Defense Production Act to increase production of test kits by over 20M a month at a single facility. He intends to use the act again to increase production at additional facilities.

We were told on March 6th that "anybody that wants a test can get a test. That’s what the bottom line is."

When that was obviously a lie, we were then told that "There’s 10 million tests that are in the market now, with 17 million more coming by the end of the month (March).”

Also a lie. Excuse me if I don't believe everything that is said by the mouthpiece of the lackluster response.

I'm just curious how this desire to reopen the country as soon as possible coincides with the new closure on immigration. I assume Mafiaman will be the first in line to pick up the need for farming or factory jobs.

Correct. Plus that poll was from a timeframe that ended 2 weeks ago. That's when being in locked down, eating Chinese takeout and being out of work was fresh and exciting. Kind of like polling married couples of 15+ years on marriage after just the first 12 months.

I intentionally chose to use a Fox News poll, as I assumed it would be better received by some here.

Here's an NBC/Wall Street Joural poll that was released yesterday (was conductedfrom 13th-15th of April):

Again not to make this political but half of America either falls right or left. There is no typical or average American. Any poll on any political topic bears this out. So you don't have to walk something back next time don't start your point with "MAGA......"

I would consider the 80% of people who are in favor of the national stay-at-home order for non-essential employees as part of the average American.

If 1 person infects 1.1 persons, the health care system reaches capacity in October
If 1 person infects 1.2 persons, meaning out of five people, one person infects two and the rest one, the capacity is reached in July.
If 1 person infects 1.3 persons, the capacity is reached in June.
The margin is very, very small, which is why the government is being very careful. Every bit of social distancing helps, every lack of social distancing hurts.

What we are doing now in ND is basic social distancing and banning large gatherings. This is helping, but there is still a lot of backlash obviously. People dont like change.
The middle ground, due to civil unrest, will likely be facemasks required in public. However, if the public can't obey an order like that and cases/deaths skyrocket, we will be in a worse position than we started in. It would likely lead to a worse shutdown than we are currently facing.

Shhhhh, don't tell anyone where that first set of statistics came from.

I know hard data bothers you when it come to making life potentially more accessible to the 187M in this country that fall into that age range.

Thankfully,  the virus also doesn't transmit from the under 44 to the over 44.

Remember folks, it's better to have coronavirus than the flu says our medical expert.

How many hospital beds do the under 44 need and take from the over 44? How many systems get overwhelmed because the olds have to die to keep the economy going.

I'll ask this to all three of you. Softball question........give me just 5, although there are more, just 5 causes of death in NYC that resulted in more than 304 deaths in the age group 45 and under in the past 3 months?

Seems like there are a number in this thread that see this crisis as a one trick pony and are comfortable with the current lockdown measures until fall or even through the year. PM MafiaMan and ask him how this has worked out for him and his family.

Here's the thing... while you may not care about deaths of people over 45 years of age, I do. Would some of the people with pre-existing conditions over 65 die in the next year? Absolutely. Would this many of them? No, so why do we only care about people under 45?

Below is one of the many posts where you said this wasn't the flu and that people under the age of 60 shouldn't be worried.  Do you believe that's still the case?

As I asked, but you didn't answer, why did you change your numbers to just people under 45? Because now, the numbers are showing that 25% of people who test positive in NYC, aged 45-64 have a 27% chance of ending up in the hospital. Could it be because someone aged 44-64 is 8 times more likely to die from Coronavirus?

Give me 1, although there are none, just 1 cause of death in NYC that has resulted in more deaths than coronavirus in the past 3 months.

Please quote where someone has said they are comfortable to keep the current lockdown measures in place until fall or through the year. There's a massive difference between that strawman and keeping the current lockdown in place for more than another week.

Right.........because 0.0055% of all NYC residents 45 years old and younger have died from COVID so far.

I was curious why all of sudden you're only concerned about cases for people under 45. A couple of weeks ago, you were touting numbers for people under 65.

NY is basically generating almost half of the virus data in this country. As of yesterday afternoon 6100+ deaths were reported in NYC. Zero deaths under 17 years old. Roughly 250 deaths between 18-45. Of those roughly 250 deaths only 10% of those that died were "healthy". So 0.4% of all NYC COVID deaths as of yesterday were "healthy" people 45 and younger. They had no contributing or underlying health issues. To date there have been 2.5x as many NYC murders as those under 45 and healthy who have died from COVID in NYC. One other interesting note is the employed worker's average age in this country is 42.

And if we only select people who have the letter P in their last name, that's basically like 3 people. That many people died yesterday from eating ice cream too fast and their brain literally froze.

Clearly, these stats show coronavirus isn't a problem.

Just saw Bundesliga Soccer League in Germany going to be giving it a go hopefully by next month albeit without fans.

Hopefully southpaw was consulted prior to making this decision.

That's what can happen when the country shuts down, people stay home, and businesses receive the financial support they need to keep everyone employed. Even freelancers or self employed people are receiving significant financial help due to loss of business.

Germany has handled this about as well as possible and we are already seeing the results as some public places are opening up again.

It happened more than a month ago, so I'm curious why it matters?

A few weeks ago you posted it in an attempt to rebut open racists, sexists and xenophobes at a Trump rally.
