I tell you what.......go recruit a few kids that are handy at forging names on a petition......put them in and let them play. While not much with petitions, I would bet they could play one hell of a game of football and make your President look like a damn fool all at the same time.......Wait.....I guess the President is already a damn fool.

I have always wondered what the impact of playing on that red turf is for a visiting team. Obviously after the lack of success at EWU by the Bison, it would not bother me one bit to see UND go in there thump them. It is finally cooling off here out west, but the weekend will still have great football weather.

I think Bohl is a filthy cheater who runs his program to win, and ONLY to win. Someone said it earlier in this thread, eventually, things will catch up to Mr. Bohl. He has built quite a stereotype up already for the program in Fargo.
Cheater? That would imply NCAA violations and I don't think that has ever been an issue. Reasonable folks will argue and debate his policies on discipline, etc. But saying "cheater" makes you sound like a pouty UND fan that is mad because the Bison would pound your teams ass. LOL!

Hell, I was pretty critical of it over on Bisonville. Better than "Rapegate" up in the Zoo, but still.....a black mark on my FB team.

Who the hell cares.....it is a great place for hockey. UND whored themselves a good bit for it, but now when the controversy on the nickname is dead......probably worth it. It is a little like whether or not you would bang the fat girl for $50,000. Hell.....$50,000......I would sure give it some thought.

As much as I despise your team, I sure would not pick the Montana game as a loss. That program has to be in one hell of a state of disarray. If UND puts a few things together it could be the Darkhorse and if something goes wrong it could be a long season. It will be very interesting to see if Muss earns that extension in this first year in the Sky.

covering up rapes and pressuring victims not to report? I think montana is in much worse shape ncaa-wise than psu or even miami, granted than the psu stuff really has nothing to do with the ncaa.
No death penalty, but it is one hell of a mess in Missoula that the NCAA can't ignore. Horrible what happened in Missoula......and amazingly when I have read egriz, many fans are blaming the University administration for cleaning house.

I don't think a UND team by any other nickname deserves to play in the Ralph. That is not what Mr. Engelstad had in mind when he generously paid for the construction of that building out of his own pocket. The building was intended to be the home of the FIGHTING SIOUX, and he made it perfectly clear that he did not want a team by any other name to call that arena their home. If they want to change the name they can play at Purpur Arena, turn the Ralph into a museum/hall of fame.
Because of a damn name?!?!? Seriously!?!?! What do you expect from a NON-North Dakotan, a NON-alumnus of UND, and some one with no University degree. What extreme foolishness to want a facility like that to be wasted........just because you are a pouting over the election. Unbelievable. I would like to think that NDSU has no fans as goofy as you.........but then I remember we have JBB......who is actually worse.

If I were still living in Williston, I would vote yes. I know my Mom voted yes and I encouraged her to do so (she is in her 80s so she votes absentee). Time to end this crazy stuff and get on with your transition.

Retire it along with the name and stick it down at the State Historical Society in Bismarck. I have always thought there should be a display at the Heritage Center featuring the retirement of the Sioux name. It should be a part of that.
As for a new trophy......if the teams play.....and it will be every other year if at all......does not need a trophy. NDSU playing UND is basically a gift to a program that is wetting its collective pants to have a game with NDSU. That is not deserving of a trophy.

Aces is one guy who says he is getting his friends and family to vote to keep the name to spite UND athletics. There are more people like him out there that are NOT on Bisonville.
WTF......like you know that and that is credible?!?!?! Good god. the bad thing about this whole vote is that the majority of ND residents will not care about thiss issue or the support of the athletic dept.

Too bad this game or the NDSU game are not picked up by Directv anywhere. I am hunting all weekend and was hoping to catch something interesting on the satellite (you know we rough it out camping!).
