That's my point. Since the W. Mich playoff game in 2012, we have not had anything on our helmets. Hoping we will this year.
agree with this as well. go with this look on the helmet. (like this jersey design too)

So, are we adding this to our beer total?
8 pack of Budweiser bowties vs 6 pack of Bud Light Lime.

@SchlossmanGF: This year's Iron Man winner (off-ice training) is Derek Rodwell.
I'd like to see Rodwell pop in a few goals this year. Hopefully, he's a senior that goes out with a bang.

A shout-out for the skating Friars!
Providence is going to surprise people this year.

Don't know, if he moves up the list too much, depending on the team, they might push him the Major Junior route, especially if he perceives he would be a one and done college guy.
i can tell you right now, he's still very much set on UND.

Alright...Alright....break it up.....
Can we just agree on these things and move on? Ohio St. is a bigger school with more alumni than UND. On a "national" level (all sports and university brand) Ohio State is bigger than UND and Minnesota for that matter. Ohio State isn't a hockey powerhouse and will never be on par with UND for history, program, and hockey following. everyone in this fight would rather see UND vs UM game outside, inside, or in a parking lot? all the other crap spewed here doesn't matter.

I'm sure we'll never know. And for the record, I would have liked to see them play UND over OSU too. I'm just playing devil's advocate here
wouldn't he know going in what the expectations were in going to college? hate seeing guys leave this late in the game.

So, is this like twitter where you have multiple log in's?
ouch.

Anyone want to answer my question? Why did Wisconsin pick Ohio State to play at Lambeau?
They played OSU to try to pull in the casual fan using a matchup that is a big deal in football. They played at Lambeau because Wally World was closed, Moose out front should've told you.

If the name of the game was national hockey exposure at the college level, wouldn't it make more sense for Ohio State to be playing Notre Dame instead of a regional team like Minnesota? After all, most folks have at least heard of Ohio State and Notre Dame when it comes to football. Those same folks are only vaguely aware of Minnesota still being in the Big 10 football conference.
true. I do think BTN televising the game does throw some of the 'national' reputation stuff out the window. did 'national' reputation get college game day to travel to Fargo next saturday? i suppose they got the show because of their 2-1 record against the gophers.

If true, I am not at all surprised. I honestly believe that as long as Don Lucia is the coach of the Gophers the rivalry will not be 'renewed' (*I would love to be wrong on this). Lucia has a strong opinion of UND hockey and he holds the reins. His stubbornness is unfortunate because it's the fans and players (on both sides) who suffer.
Obviously both teams will be fine without regular games, but it's still a bummer to see one man put an end to such a historic rivalry.
Another reason why the UM boosters and older former players don't like tDon.

everyone is going to continue to wear Sioux jerseys until they come up with a decent alternative. so far, i haven't seen one and the one featured on the link above is absolute trash.

Hawks beatwriter tweeted that Gleason had scored a couple of goals and had been very impressive at the rookie camp.

It's still there. Just follow the link above and click the enter promo code box. use the "northdakotaalumni" code and it should give you the two UND Denver games. You can also put both games on a single order to minimize your extra fees.
thanks. didn't work for me earlier but just did now.

hahaaa. just went to buy some and now the UND games are not on sale. kudos to those that were able to use the code before they shut it down.

Not trying to keep UND fans from buying tickets? Not according to Denver Captain Paul Phillips.
“They bring so many fans with them and their fans are so loud. It’s real important that we can’t let their fans get into the game. We have to throw the first punch.”
Yeah it's common knowledge UND fans pack Magness every year so it's a great opportunity to capitalize on them. DU is doing it to sell tickets to other games that would normally go unsold. They know the demand for UND is so great that they're forcing people to buy games that normally wouldn't sell very well. again, it's all about money, not shutting out the fans. That's why you don't see that deal with UNO or RPI for instance.
-
I can see it backfiring...ND fans still buy tickets and fill the stands for the UND series but DU ends up with empty seats for 4 other games.
These things are done for money, knowing they can captialize on a rabid fanbase that will buy these deals to see 2 UND games. I don't think the main thought process was to keep UND fans out of the rink. College athletics is all about money these days, not about what's good for rivalries/fans, etc... College hockey is no different unfortunately.
