  1. Stecher has us all believing. What's his story? His playing history, stats, decommit are all there online, but I'm guessing this kid has some brains and maturity, the way he has figured out how to excel early-on at a position that is difficult to learn at this level.

He is a bright kid. Him mother is a dentist i believe. My conversation with him i felt he was quite grounded and got the big picture.

On a different note, i dont know how you take thompson out of the line up. He has way more poise with the puck than many dmen, and is much more capable of a breakout pass not up the boards. I thought he was 2nd dman last night. Schmaltz takes shifts off.

  2. That conversation with the seniors did happen. I've heard the whole story from the horses mouth. They were there to represent most of the team, obviously no repercussions could be had against them. Faison listened, but apparently didn't hear.

  3. That into was awesome. I stood there waiting for Back in Black to start then the Welcome to the Jungle intro starts and I was like...HOLY CRAP!! They did finally get that right the only downfall is the music before the game and in between plays is too DAMN loud.

I couldn't disagree more. Its not a funeral, its a football game, I thought the PA did great the first half of the first quarter piping in music when we were on D. It seemed to stop when the game wasn't in doubt 5 min in.

  4. To bring facebook and what people in north Dakota are talking about in the country to this forum.. ND is basically trying to make abortions illegal. The gov has been silent. Makes me think he will veto it, at least if he wants to keep his job. (Waste of taxpayer money trying to defend it).

See how I talked politics without being partisan?!

I can't believe he signed them. At least it will be abortion in an endless legal battle and not the sioux name.

  5. I tend to not get into pissing matches here, because quite frankly, its stupid... but i tend to agree that full cages are a safer bet. So does actual scientific research.....

Im an optometrist, there is a study that shows vision to not be significantly affected by full cages vs visors, though i can't find a link right now.

By mandating half shields in youth hockey in Canada, 10Mil per year was saved in healthcare costs in the early 90's.

I tend to let science help me make decisions,

but hey maybe im just a 'pussy'.

  6. Ok, so is NDSU's old snorty logo a cartoon? I mean...it represents the Bison team that I have loved since I was born. Is Notre Dame's Irish logo a cartoon? It represents the spirit of the IRISH!

Answer: Yes. They are both cartoons. I like the cartoons. I buy apparel (hats mostly) with them on there. I smile when I see other people with them. Does that mean they aren't a cartoon? Nope. They certainly are cartoons.

The mona lisa? Cartoon....maybe. It was drawn.

How about The Last Supper.....knee slapper.

  7. It is better than having know nothings & those that get up & going out constantly or the jumping jacks that can't sit in their seat when anything happens - right in your view of the game - THAT IS THE MOST IRRITATING THING YOU CAN HAVE AT A GAME

I guess you would consider me a jumping jack. I think part of the experience and fun is getting into the game. Standing when something good is about to happen is part of that. Are you unable to stand?
