I can't help but wonder if this part of UND's latest response didn't have something to do with the NCAA granting the appeal of tiny Mississippi College last Friday.
probably not since it is dated the 30th.

so she is upset that Kupchella is trying to increase negotiation with tribes, just cause it may help them understand the position of the university. which by chance, happens to be in opposition to hers.

Hattons basketball team as a few outstanding youngsters on the team.
I know one made all state as a freshman last season. not great size, but quality shooters.

Agree to many of those previous:
i would like to see grand forks embrace the new medical plaza that is being built on the south end of washington. Another Hospital is and increasing need, many go to fargo because they are unhappy with the monopoly of Altru.
although not feasable, i would like the city to relocate the trailer park on columbia and let the university build moderate housing, with the idea the flavor of a dinky town.

I like this. Don't know if it's true for everyone out east, but I like it.
Read through most of the posts, but not all thoroughly, so forgive me if this has been brought up, but does the 9% going to the Athletic Department go to all UND sports, or all to UND hockey? If it goes to all sports, why would students deserve 9% of the REA or the lower bowl, or whatever that argument was. Personally, I do think the students deserve to be treated with more respect than what they're getting, however, I'm just becoming annoyed with some of the responses I read on this thread.i will agree with what you said, i pointed out that the students arent even getting a fair shake on this board but i think some of it is due to a few students unrealistic line of thought.
See how that works?
I can see both sides of the debate....and dont jump to the "swearing and standing thing" i dont think that is any question, its the respect issue im talking about.

This is a perfect example of why nothing is resolved. Your idea of the "situation" does not include several of the complaints from students. You are only looking at what bothers you.

a psychologist or sociologist would easily compare this debate to the current one going on in the sioux name forum.

General Public wants students to sit and not swear or drink because it is not okay for them.
Native americans want the school to change name because they feel it is not okay for them.

Im a supporter of the name, but sometimes everyone needs to take a listen to what exactly is coming outta there mouth and fingers, and try to be open and communicate without a negative attitude. People have been called jerks, idiots, and immature over the course of this thread by some of the same people who claim only the name changers result to calling names.
possibly the most juvenile topic of discussion in a college setting i have seen.

sioux fans aren't immune either, i remember a game 3 or 4 years ago where they handed out bean bag pucks, they littered the ice and the game had to be called with a few seconds left.

Fun arena! I wish I was going. I have been in the past and it is a good time.
Security is upped for the series I think because I have been to many other games and it seems like they don't have as many guards. A couple of years ago one of them tried to kick me out because he mistook me for somebody else or a gopher fan told him I was being abnoxious, which I wasn't. I was upset at first, but after he understood that it was a misunderstanding everything was good. I ended up sitting behind Bochenski's hot mom because there were some open seats behind the Sioux bench. I think that was the game when there was a huge delay because the ice was messed up and Goldy was moon-skating through the fire extingusher smoke.
ive gotten wine drunk with bo's mom in him and schneiders dorm room!!!!
she was in town for a game he got benched in 01!

on d2 football.com UND is still shopping the dates of Aug 24,25, or 26th for this year.
i hope they can get that 11th game.
