  1. A beer from you and a hockey nut said he's going to buy me a beer, heck, I'm set!! It's so much fun, as LFSPRO calls it , the Mardi Gras of the WCHA!!!

Maybe we should all bring beads!! :D:D:D

  2. Long time listener...first time caller...

I'm looking for anyone who can help me out with pics of the backs of the Sioux '87's as done by AZSIOUX. If memory serves me right, the back of the greenies were simply number only...nameplates weren't added to the road jerseys until 1990 or so...

Also, if anyone is looking at selling their 1969-1972 WHITE retro jersey as previously done by AZSIOUX, let me know. I purchased the green version and am kicking myself for not getting the white as well.

We have a picture of a replica 87 that was sold by the Sioux Boosters on our website. If you look at the picture on page 91 of the media guide you will see that the names were on the back of the white jerseys in 87. They did not have names on the green away jerseys. There is also a link to the media guide on our site under the schedule, team info section.

    Hope that helps.

  3. Ask and you shall receive.

Depending on if people would actually buy this, or another shirt, could order them in bulk and therefore get them for around $15 I think. If people all order them individually, it's $21. The shirt can be edited such as having the front color changed from green to red.

I like the shirt! I checked out the look changing the black lettering to kelly green on the front and I like it! Let me know if you want to place an order, I am in for eight.

  4. I just hope McCloud/WCHA adopts an NHL-style of officiating and gets some refs that can do the job instead of the clowns he has doing the games now. It'd be nice to see the highly skilled players in this league have a little space to be creative rather than fighting through hooks and holds the whole game ala Oshie. If the league went that way, UND would benefit.

The Sioux can still fight once in a while...

That is the answer, hopefully the WCHA get's their act together soon.

  5. This is a team that is close and sticks up for each other, for that we should all be thankful. As to this UND team being "goons" or such I find amusing.

If you watch replays of the games from the late 70's and early 80's this team looks like choirboys. I can remember the same things being said of those teams and they won championships. Other teams complain when they get don't win and want to blame it on physical play.

It is nice to see good, clean, hard checks. I hope they keep playing tough hockey and that reflects on the W vs L record.

  6. The bar is being set pretty high right now, it used to be you could get one for 300-400 now it's like 700-800 at least.

The average is now at $1,178.75, the highest is TJ's white at $7,000 and the low is Genoway's white and Foyt's green at $375.

I bought my first one for $450 a couple of years ago and I thought I was crazy. I think the logo issue is driving the prices up.

  7. I didn't catch the part about meeting the team. That is funny! ;):D I am sure the last thing they would want to do is meet some crazy lady after the game.

I visited with one of the players after the auction and when I told him what it went for he just smiled and shook his head.

I had a dollar amount in mind and planned to bid as well but I never even got a chance to put that bid in. I hope she enjoys the jersey, I just hope she is not a "regular" at the auction going forward. I have no problem with what she paid for it as that is great for UND hockey but I did have a problem with the attitude!

  8. My question is that as a new bidder and dropping that sort of change, will she follow through and actually pay for the jerseys. If not, I would guess they go down the list and contact the other bidders.

  9. I still cannot believe that she paid $7,000 for TJ's jersey. I am sure that if she would have not had such an attitude she would have taken it home for less than that, at least $500 less than that!!

  10. Suite 49 is the best choice in my opinion. As mentioned you do have to pay a fee but can redeem the certificate for a discount on purchases in the restaurant. Is is close to the arena and the pictures inside are worth the parking fee if you have not been there yet.

I would suggest going early, around 5:00 to secure seating.

It is our regular spot to go before games even though we do have a parking pass.

    Their website is www.suite49.com.
