Last year in GF, who on UND's team got in a fight with Scott and what was the result - if my memory is correct the UND player faired ok but perhaps I am wrong.

At half time the FSSN in Sioux Falls shut off coverage - anyone else having this problem?

I was not serious about the gophs being awesome - just being flippant as State of Hockey certainly wants us to know how good he thinks the the 0000-fers are.

There are threads and threads and threads about him in various places.
And should the Sioux jump in? No. We shouldn't waste our breath. Why? Because USCHO's recruiting ticker has reported that he has narrowed his choice of schools down to Wisconsin and Minnesota.
The only surprise to me is not that we weren't recruiting the guy, because we may have early on, but that Michigan was eliminated. I had predicted him going there.
It's now only a matter of time before he commits somewhere. But where he commits is hardly the topic of a thread here as we are very sure it won't be at UND.

It is only November,but when the hell is our defense going to show up in 3rd periods.Our strong point coming into the season,gave up 22 3rd period shots last nite.It wasn't to long ago when a team was lucky to get that many in an entire game.

According to the USCHO box score North Dakota out shot the Badgers 12-11 in the 3rd and 36 to 27 for the game.

Random thoughts from a fan that is sick of people belittling the program:
(1) Some of you idiots remove your head from your @#$ and realize that there have been alot of changes from last year and it will take time for the transition.
(2) It ain't how you are playing in early November that matters - look at Denver.
(3) Yes this team has issues but this ship can be righted - we as Sioux fans need to have some confidence in the program. Didn't we win a few titles before Blais, before Gasparini etc...
(4) That DAR and NEOFLIXX or NEONUTS or whatever the he!! his name is, get a fliipin clue or if I am really lucky never post again on this site.
(5) Funny how once a coach like Blais is gone, all you remember are the glory years and that he could do no wrong.
(6) Blais empowered Hak with the recruiting function that brought in players like Paraise - the well will continue to run deep.
(7) Look at some of the positives - Lammy is the real deal, Zajac looks like a natural goal scorer, our schedule in the next month is a hell of alot better than the last month.

If someone would have told me that the Sioux would have held the Badgers to one goal on Friday and two currently on Saturday, I would have said the Sioux would have taken four points this weekend - my how wrong my thought process is.

I have some questions?
Where has the leaders of this team?
Where is Quinn Fylining (sp)?
Where is the scoring punch of Stafford and Porter?
Are we ever going to score this weekend and in the future?
Where is the vaunted defense we are supposed to have?
This is ridiculous.
We have players just going through the motions this season.

Good questions - this team needs to find itself in a hurry - somebody has to step up and you would have thought that would have happened with the suppossed depth of this team.

So what I am hearing is that the Sioux should recruit goons to satisfy everyone's appetite for the fight game. If you can't beat at least beat the @*?! out of them!!!
I, for one, appreciate the style of hockey with players like Blake, Panzer, Parise etc...but that is just me.

Here we go again. I guess you had/have to play hockey to talk hockey. I think this was your response last season everytime someone said something you didn't agree with.
I was sitting in the front row behind the net where it happened. Was it a penalty - according to Anderson it was. I also thought it was good, physical play. The earlier question, in part, was, do Greene's problems come from being physical and the answer is yes, in part, in my opinion.
I have no problem with that type of penalty - it is going to happen . . . when Greene gets the holding and obsturction penalties then there is a problem.

You are right - you do not need to have played hockey to know about hockey and for suggesting as such, I apologize.
I believe there are better ways of clearing the opponent from the front of the net other than cross-ckecking the opposing player because they are going to call that virtually every time. The cross-check I am referring to put the Sioux down on a 5 on 3 and I believe the Gophs scored. They could have called a cross-check on Greene at least two other times within about a 30 seconds time span.
