Ah Oh,

The Star Trib is reporting that there is a new movie set in North Dakota and it doesn't sound good.

The movie, which Pankratz tells me is being edited now, is about a reality show based on a North Dakota school and hockey team, which went from bad to good with the help of a star hockey player whose arrival coincides with a series of murders. One element of the movie, in these early stages, involves depicting "how backwards the people in North Dakota were," Pankratz said.

This is not going to go over well in the Roughrider State, where some are still smarting from "Fargo."

Has North Dakota ever been viewed in a positive light in a Hollywood movie? Even though Fargo was almost entirely set in Minnesota, we still bore the brunt of the bad press, then Jesus Camp, and now this, Yikes. I think the state needs a better PR department.

I am not too worried...doesn't exactly sound like a blockbuster hit.
