NORTH DAKOTA vs. Michigan - SATURDAY Gameday

AZSIOUX

Recommended Posts

Just have to try to contain the CCM line as best as possible.
I know UND has had some difficulty shutting down big opposing lines earlier this season (DU's, CC's, etc), but I think they can get it done.  They have the best d-corps in the country and they need to show that tomorrow.
Look at ND's gameplan from today, worked to perfection except that they couldn't take advantage of the large number of offensive chances that the Michigan defense gave them.

Go Sioux, let's do this!  Take down the Wolverines, avenge some past demons from the Frattin year, and on to Tampa!

Stay.  Out.  Of.   The.  Box.

Feet, not sticks.

Without question this is the key to the game. After watching MI/ND there is little doubt IMO that the more 5 on 5 that is played the more it favors UND. The CCM line had zero desire to play a 200 foot game yesterday. Their blue line 1-6 is a bunch of Joe Finley's......sorry Joe. Racine is giving up 3 per game......and that's mostly vs. the putrid B1G conference teams. Cam didn't look sharp yesterday. Needs to be better. Disappointed will be an understatement if UND loses today.

5-3 SIOUX

Take a look at their goalie in these highlights.  He doesn't seem to track the puck at all.  Also the goal by Motta is nice so don't let him become free.

The top lines Matching up should be intense.

Top lines give a small plus to Michigan, Defense give a plus to Sioux, 2nd lines equal, 3rd and 4th lines give a small edge to Sioux and Goalie is a plus for Sioux. All the TV timeouts favors goes to Michigan but the home ice and last change goes to Sioux! Sioux win 4-2 Beezer, Stetch, Pogo and Jewels gets a shorty!

I thought both MI and Notre Dame looked weak compared to North Dakota's performance yesterday.  Especially earlier in game...but obviously the Hawks can't relax at all for the next 180 minutes left in season.  ND just needs to stay as sharp as they were yesterday.    I hope they destroy Michigan!

Going to watch todays game at Applebees in Red Wind MN. I will be noticeable as I will probably (may) be the only one in my white FIGHTING SIOUX JERSEY. . COME ON DOWN IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA and watch the game on ESPN2. I already verified that they have ESPN2. IF I recall they have pretty good drink specials after 3:00 PM on Saturdays. Hopefully they shut them out as after 2011 I to this day can not stand the michigan rouser " Hell to the victors. ".
