Allow me to take your statement and restate what you said:

It could happen if someone showed up with a boatload of cash and a long-term endowment.

That boatload would go straight to women’s hockey before we signed the dotted line to the Sun Belt.

Speculation is fun and yes, anything can happen, but claiming 1 + 1 = potato and using that as the sole reason for why things are definitively happening deserves to be challenged.

Claimed like 50 different decisions and events, not two, with the meter all pointing in the same direction which is FBS.   Obvious that you don’t have vision that encompasses everything or at least awareness that decisions aren’t made in a vacuum but with a long term goal in mind.  Your arguments are so pedantic, like a child having temper tantrum.

Spending on FCS is not worth it if it only begots local interest and awareness of what already occurred in D2.  There will be a tidal wave of schools leaving FCS shortly because their Presidents are just too aware that FCS is a money suck hole.  Better to spend that kind of money on something that will bring much more national awareness, like FBS.

Yeah, the whole Big Sky is not going FBS, but more than half.

No, the women's hockey fan base would march with torches and pitchforks if any money went to a new sport or to upgrade football over bringing back women's hockey.

Ten fans will be quite the mob.  Another example to actions taken by a FCS President that will open up $’s for FBS.

Have projected that women’s lacrosse would be added for Title IX for FBS and join the MPSF.  Remarkably, the women’s soccer field was elevated and given new grass turf.  But it’s all just coincidence.

Time to rethink another projection: the MPSF no longer sponsors women's lacrosse.

Edit: my mistake... they have 3 teams currently. A dream conference for UND that only includes California teams.

Once again, you're seeing patterns in unrelated events.

Some people see the pattern of a human face on the moon, some people don't.  But, very few people think that there really is a "Man in the Moon."

You seem to be the only one with that "vision". I've based my opinions on conversations with people that are actually involved in these decisions and day to day operations. The things you claim literally aren't even on the radar in any realistic matter. And before you claim they don't talk about things like that in public, feel free to look back and see what my comments were on UND moving to the Summit despite your objections that it wouldn't happen.

FYP. Got the cover the eventual Pryor extension, foreign trips for basketball teams, any opponent that comes here for a home and home, upgrades to soccer and softball, etc.

Although yes, FB will be the one to take the brunt of pitchfork nation until they start having seasons like 2016 consistently and with deep playoff runs.

When is the WAC FBS revival happening? By which year?

Which BSC schools are going FBS together and by when? By which year?

2021?

2239?

Followed by James Madison, Delaware, Stony Brook and Jacksonville St and maybe Youngstown St, UNH, Chattanooga.  The A Sun already has Kennesaw St and UNF and FGCU would want FBS someday.  By July 1st this will all get sorted out, as will the Summit and WAC.

FBS doesn’t have to be announced by July 1st but the Montana’s and Idaho are moving.

Here’s another UTRGV recent fb article.

https://www.themonitor.com/sports/utrgv_vaqueros/article_2aa53d18-9aba-11e8-9d46-1ba23372cff8.html

There are suggesting the following:

2018 Announce FB

2019 Hire staff and finalize facilities planning

2020 Practice year

2021 FCS independent

2022 FBS transition

They are not recommending FCS for UTRGV’s size and research status but they include that as an option.  It’s bizarre that the FBS Sun Belt would even look at them as the Belt tossed them out more than a decade ago when they were the smaller UTPA.  Some consulting firm must be psycho to recommend FBS for a school like UTRGV if it needs another conference invite.  But lo and behold there are a member of the WAC which by rules can elevate schools to FBS.  UTRGV got the answers in print that it paid for.  The WAC can give out golden passes to FBS and it would be foolish not to use them.  But all the schools getting them have to be well prepared.

The consulting firm is not even recommending FCS as UTRGV is too large and FBS fits because UTRGV wants to grow research.

The timeline is a year behind my projections, but still my same projections without the date.

My prediction on UND going to the Big Sky was the biggest running joke on bozoville for years, but suddenly it happened and bozoville became apoplectic.  Same thing will happen again.

The coming gold rush to get the WAC is to qualify for the bigger CFP pot coming in 2025.  Any Unversity FCS President was figuring out how to participate for some time now.

I just think you are reading to much into the soccer field upgrade.

My projections are that the Montanas, the South Dakota’s and NDSU will also start the sport.   Women’s lacrosse is an ideal sport to add for women because it’s only 12scholships but like almost 40 new out of state tuitions. The MPSF needs teams, but they will come.

UND will not see the MVFC.  Why does UND stay in the Big Sky for two more years when only one is needed?  To keep scheduling the Montanas and being in contact with Idaho and Weber St.

2018  The Montanas, Idaho and Weber St give the Big Sky notice that they are leaving for the Summit.  UND moved early so the Summit has the 75% voting power needed to add them.

2020  Summit football will begin with those select Big Sky schools

2022  Summit football will move the the WAC for FBS transition

2024  Summit FBS football will be separate

2025  Summit gets CFP $, likely to go way up over $1 million per team

A school doesn’t want to go too early to FBS as they wouldn’t get into an expanded CFP $’s until 2025 when the contract cones into effect.  The Presidents aren’t going to FBS without CFP.  That’s why the move up is delayed.  The WAC missed out on it last time and the timing is critical this time around.  They weren’t going to go FBS in 2016 and wait 9 years for a CFP payment.

Having 3 new G5 conferences opens up the possibility of a new G8 playoff too.

If all of those teams are going to be in the same conference in 2020, why play with three  Cali teams that just add ridiculous travel costs? There would be 6 wlax teams in the Summit then.

UND isn’t in the Big Sky. We are FCS Independents for 2 years with a Big Sky schedule so we aren’t scrambling to fill games like we did in the GWFC days. We have absolutely no affiliation with the Big Sky in any sport.

UTRGV’s timeline.  Business logic as the  CFP change upcoming.  Changes and improvements needed for FBS.  Our Big Sky and Summit Presidents would have to outrageously stupid to not be chomping at the bit to get a piece of the new CFP.

Can’t technically  prove anything in a court of law.  But you cant prove we aren’t moving either..

The Summit could very well sponsor women’s lax but allowing Denver to keep its Big East affiliation.

Travel would probably include Cal schools anyway and recruits can be gotten their if they know they will get games near home in their career.

We don’t have the MVFC banners up either.

Why when you change this address to your browser, it is still functional and not get an error:

https://fightinghawks.com/index.aspx?path=wlacrosse

Changing wlacrosse to wswimming also works.  Maybe it’s all preprogrammed.  Haven’t checked nonsense words/sports yet.

It would have taken you about 3 seconds to test nonsense letters/words.  Here's an example of why it redirects with wlacrosse and others:
