I for one have loved watching the track and swimming, but my favorite summer OLYMPIC SPORT is gymnastics. The U.S. have had some great athletes in the past two OLYMPICS, My favorite not getting a shot because of a injury Shawn Johnson and  Nastia Luikin. on the men's side the Hamm brothers.

I'm with you!

I've been nerding out on our women's gymnastics team on youtube.   They are the defending world champs.  They seem like a pretty impressive group of people.

The trials are on NBC sports tonight.  Oops it's replayed on NBC sports later tonight.   Live on NBC right now.

The Fab Five were pretty impressive last night in blowing the doors off the team competition.  Wieber's story has gotten all the attention, but the rest of the team is plenty solid.  Maroney on the vault is incredible.

The Americans have also been pretty impressive in the pool.  And they added some humanity with their Call Me Maybe viral video.

The tennis at Wimbledon has been really great too.  Love to see the big stars playing doubles as well.

And finally, I guess as long as it's a shotgun, our shooters are golden.  I actually met Kim Rhode at the Shooting Star casino when she made an appearance following the '96 Atlanta games.

A great Olympics so far.  Hope it keeps up.

Maroney's vault has been the best moment of the Olympics for me.  I was hoping she would do her best one at the Olympics.   It was unreal.

I don't know how she can top that in the Vault Finals.

-----

Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman going for the gymnastics All Around.  Gabby seems to be getting better and better every competition.  If she doesn't get nervous or have a meltdown she could win gold.
