    • YES - means you approve Senate Bill 2370, the effect of which would allow the University of North Dakota to discontinue the Fighting Sioux nickname and logo.

    • NO - means you reject Senate Bill 2370, and require the University of North Dakota to use the Fighting Sioux nickname and logo.

Hopefully today's vote puts an end to this issue.

Will be interesting to see the vote totals for the counties where the Indian Reservations are located. If the totals of those counties are consistent with the total statewide vote to retire the nickname then hopefully all agree to retire the nickname and moveon. However is those counties vote to keep the nickname, then things might get interesting irregardless of the statewide vote.

We know how Spirit Lake feels about the name and its too bad the people of Sioux County couldn't vote to keep the name and trump their tribal council, but a lot of people know by voting to keep the name even though its their (Sioux) name..it would hurt UND athletics and they don't want to do that.
