UND and NDSU both have huge traditions as North Dakota colleges. I am a huge Fighting Sioux fan and curently live in Missouri and I see a tone of UND fans wearing Sioux clothing have yet to see one NDSU fan. I will give some credit to Oshie but not alot. Here are the facts as I know them UND (1883)has been around longer than NDSU(1890). Also I used to work at Scheels and I know for a fact that the Scheels in Fargo sells alot more UND clothing than NDSU. Also if you go to the College shop in the mall of America they sell more UND clothing than any other college except the Gophers. OK now that is over, back to this thread that was started to talking about a HOCKEY game. Yes this thread is about HOCKEY and we did win today. It was a great game to watch. Just remember that UND is the ONLY college hockey team that will have every single home game televised nationally and that says something for us. Idon't see many NDSU games here in Missouri but I do get all of the UND home hockey games and most of the away games. I will agree that Hockey isn't the biggest sport out there but as far as college sports go its in the top 5. Thats my take on thing if you don't like them oh well it doesn't hurt my feeling one bit.

Nebraska is supposed to announce Friday that the will be moving to the big 10. I also herd on the radio here in Columbia MO that Mizzou officials will be in meeting this morning about them going to the big 10 as well. I will post more info as I get it.

Here is what I have seen living in Columbia MO. There is a group of guys here that are desperatly trying to get a ice rink open. They tried to get a new arena built through private funding but that fell through the cracks. Mizzou curently has to drive 30 to 40 minutes just to get to a rink for home games and practices. I know that there has been talks about them expanding there hockey program, not sure if that means going to a D1 program or not, but I am not sure where they would find funding to add a new arena or a place in town to put it as all of the sports complexes are next to each other. The big picture is them leaving the big XII, if Nebraska and Mizzou both left for the same conference such as the big 10 then I could see it as they are each others biggest rivals but getting one to go with out the other may be harder than just putting extra money out there to do so. Personally I would like to see them go just so I have one more team that can woop up on the Gophers. Go Fighting Sioux/Tigers

My opinion take it for what's its worth, we will only lose key players that are seniors, Chay will most likely stay because he was robbed, of his senior year and is Hungary for that national championship plus he lost a lot of time where he was unable to even work out so he might be a little out of shape "like I have room to talk" there will be no other key players that leave UND to go pro. The only people that not seniors that have a chance, would not go straight to the pros so they will wait another year and try to get a championship as a college player.

I don't get FSN in Missouri because I don't have satellite TV but I do get FCS where I could watch all home games is there any talk about FCS picking up the games as well.

I was just wondering if there was anyone else that might be going to the games this weekend when the Sioux baseball team takes on Mizzou I live in Columbia and I am planing to try and get to a few of the games

If you call the Grand Forks Scheels they will ship merchandise for a small fee it is usually around 5 to 10 bucks depending on what you get. I live in MO and have had stuff shipped and it worked out great and it is fast.

So I have been told that they are dropping the swift jersey thats why they were all on sale and bringing in a new vendor for the black jersey. Check Scheels for youth jerseys there usually less expensive than the Sioux Shop.

I was wondering if anone knows where I can find UND scrubs my wife works in a hospital in MO and she badly wants UND scrubs so if anyone knows where I can find them it would be greatly apperciated. Thanks and go Fighting Sioux

Omaha would be a nice short drive from GF but I am going to say is that Kansas City just built a new Arena and are trying to get a pro hockey team. I know Missouri is not a big hockey state but it is growing.
