  1. No the five years were not requirment on the advertisment, the masters degree was listed as preferred.
  2. Very disapointed. I'm hearing Bunning is sort of just laying back and waiting for the finalist to be weeded out before making a decision. Roebuck did not want the 5 yr rule in place. But the lady is really taking control and let him know times have changed. Very sad if true.
  3. It's common practice to let the new coach speak to the incomming recruits before letting anyone out of their letter of intent. It gives the new coach a chance to convince the recruit to come to school to play for the new coach, if the new coach wants to honor the commit. On every LOI it states clearly you are signing with the institution not the heach coach. I would expect that if the kid still wants to leave after the new coach is named, the kid will be given his release to go any where excluding another conference team. This happens quite a bit and I can only name one situation where the kid was not given his release and that kid elected to go to prep school for the year.
  4. Miles was offered the job on Monday night without a doubt. He was told he could bring Todd as Director of Basketball Operations, but he would have to hire all new assistant coaches. He sat on the contract until his annoucement was made, they promptly hired another coach. I know all of this is true, I have heard from two different sides. Also on the UND front look for Dryburgh from the Wahpeton school to reopen his recruitment this next week. He will stay verballed, but will see what else is out there. Word around Fargo is that he called UND's AD and the AD said things that didn't make him feel comfortable about what's going on in GF next year.
  5. Look for Dryburgh to stay committed, but look around before signing.
  6. Why would I make that up? One of the NDSU coaches told me that Miles had the contract offered to him on Monday and he was sitting on it until yesterday. The hang up was that the hiring was just for Miles and he would not be allowed to bring in his current NDSU staff. Maybe Miles just told his assistants this, but I find that hard to believe. Look at all the other information that I have providend, why would I make something like this up? And for the record your crazy if you think NDSU would have promoted within. Todd didn't get the St. Paul Concordia job and I find it hard to believe NDSU would have just went along with the same staff moving up.
  7. He turned them down because UNC-W wouldn't let him bring his staff along. The boosters wanted more local assistant coaches and that was a deal breaker for Miles.
  8. Thomas and Mark are going to UND no matter who the coach is. They will both be heading to UND on the last weekend of the month when they will both be playing in the NDSCS alumni game in Wahpeton. They will then travel together to UND, where Mark can visit the campus in person. They are coming to UND no matter what, unless the new coach doesn't want them.
  9. I"m not here to defend Harry, because I have seen him play many times and think he will help out in certain areas, but I do want to make a comment about Kentucky Wess. they are just a former shadow of theirself since being hit with probation. They would take just about anyone who could play right now. The days of KYW dominating D2 hoops is over and will never happen again. They managed to only win 6 or so games last year and the administration won't give them what they need to win again, to scared of the program getting out of hand once again.
  10. Todd is interviewing for the Concordia St. Paul Job.
  11. It could be very possible that his grades have improved enough to not have to go the juco route, but again I would be surprised.
  12. There are for sure two more offers to Juco players. One UND has a great shot at the other it's more of a long shot, but you never know. As for Mertens I don't think there is any real chance of him heading to UND, I have been told it's junior college all the way and that he is headed to either Lake Region or North Dakota Science.
  13. Oh I forgot to mention, Don't think juco players at Science can make a difference for your program? Ask NDSU what a different ball team they are now that Andre Smith decided to go there. He is like a man playing with a bunch of boys in the post at that level.
