  1. how bout "Gopher Pride" with mugshots of Tyler Hirsh and/or Nate Haggemo
  2. Jean-Phillip (Phil, JP) is currently a senior at UND, Jaques transfered from Northern Michigan to Air Force and is redshirting because of it, Pierre-Paul (PJ) played for the Bismarck Bobcats, Red Deer Rebels, and his final season of hockey just ended with the Tri-City Storm, Mario's season also ended with the Storm however his career will continue at UND next year. Jocelyn and Monique are twin sisters who attend Shattuck St. Marys Prep School and will be playing hockey for the University of Minnesota. Each person mentioned above is a superior athlete and great individual.
  3. I am seriously considering moving to St. Louis so as to be able to continue watching TJ Oshie play hockey. If anyone from the thrashers organization looks at Andrew Kozek with a smile, he will sign his name on the dotted line. Duncan wears the C, Watkins and Jones sport the A's. David Toews will lead the team in scoring and win WCHA rookie of the year because he is inherently better then the rest because of his superior gene pool.
  4. No offense to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson but it is safe to say that TJ Oshie has earned the title "THE MOST ELECTRIFYING MAN IN SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT TODAY." Traveling the country watching the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux Men's Hockey team has been the reason for me to get a summer job for the last few years. I haven't missed a Final Five, Regional, or Frozen Four in 3 straight years. After "wasting" (according to my parents) countless hours, thousands of miles, and more money then I care to admit, I have come to one realization..... Fighting Sioux Hockey IS the GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH!! I couldn't think of a better way to spend time or money. GO SIOUX, see yall in the Mile High City.
  5. I have enough trust in TJ Oshies commitment and leadership of the sioux that I am going to safely assume that this Radja guy was trash talkin the sioux and being the courageous leader that he is, Tj wouldnt stand for it. I am just going to give him the benefit of the doubt because he plays for the sioux and inherently is better then me and has better judgement. He is at the pinnacle of human existance and should be able to do with his life what he wants. The only thing I fear is that this will somehow get spinned in the wrong direction and the whole situation will lessen the chance of us retaining the Fighting Sioux nickname and logo. I also think that the rest of the guys will pick up the slack and make the huskies their medieval puppy dog bitches tommorow night.
  6. Tj will probably lose all of his endorsement deals after this huh. o...... wait, hes not a professional athlete he is a college hockey player. Hes not your kids role model as much as you want him to be. I dont go to the ralph every weekend to watch great citizenship, i go to watch great hockey, and that is what this kid delivers. Stupid drunken mistakes happen and he is paying for it by having to watch Micheal Forney or Brent Davidson take his roster spot for a night. The university and coach hak will deal with this how they see fit. Unless his time in jail made him miss a practice or team function i think there should be no other punishment then the law sentences him to. Boys will be boys
  7. ahh geez i hope genoway plays, he is sooo much fun to watch and very effective as well. UND's blue line will hold strong and the gophs' will crumble. Special Teams (as always) will make or break this series for either team. Sioux penalty kill looks disorganized and sloppy but it gets the job done most of the time. I expect a Sioux sweep but wont be overly dissappointed with a split. A sweep for the gophs is out of the question........ i hope
  8. Despite its immaturity and irrelevance, your argument is very articulate and well put together, for this i commend you. "certain fate of mediocrity"........... gold soohockey15, gold
  9. well actually RR ran the gauntlet of Minnesota Section 8A teams and didnt lose. Roseau beat the riders in a close game from what i heard and South also had a good game with moorehead. (both section 8AA institutions) so neither margins are very big between Minn. and East ND or East ND and West ND.... just so happens the headline of the GF Herald every friday of the state tournament is EAST BEATS WEST
  10. congrats to williston, they did the best out of the west. hopefully they can take down the consulation bracket. as for the championship, sounds like its still up in the air. whoever comes to play will leave with the hardware. im rootin for an RR FSH finale.... a little rematch from the last 2EDC championships and last years final.(all 1 goal games)
  11. no toss up here, Eric Meland is the best forward in the state and will be in 07-08 as well.
  12. If the award of Mr. Hockey was just flat out the best hockey player in the state, Mihulka of RR would win. No one in the state can compete with his size, strenght or general skills when it comes to battleing in the corners. If its gonna be all about #'s then it would have to go to Weisgarber.
  13. I said it because it is typical. I don't hate Grand Forks hockey, I hate the behavior of the GF teams' student cheering sections at hockey games. Booing the other team's player winning an award is just another example of classless behavior that is typical of both Red River and Central cheering sections. I've seen it time and time again for well over 20 years now. Fans will be fans, booing the opposite team is part of every teams student section not just Grand Forks teams. Besides, im sure the GFRR fan's boos are the last thing on Paul W's mind.
  14. I think GFRR and FSH should just face off in a 7 game series for the State Championship. Also to accomadate the enormous fan base that will be there, the games will have to be held at Yankee Stadium. By the way, its now official, the second period of all East Region Tournament games from now on is referred to as "Marc's Time" in reference to Marc Mihulkas 7 second period goals in this years tournament. Look it up.
